MANDEEP KUMAR MONTY ELECTED PRESIDENT OF PRESS CLUB FEROZEPUR FOR THIRD TERM

Renowned TV journalist associated with News18, Mandeep Kumar Monty, has once again been elected as the President of Press Club Ferozepur for the year 2025-26. In the recently held elections, Monty secured a decisive victory over his contender Malkeet Singh by a margin of 11 votes, marking his third term in this prestigious role.

Outgoing President Kamal Malhotra extended heartfelt congratulations to Monty, highlighting the democratic tradition of the club which holds fresh elections each year. He shared that a formal meeting was convened for the 2025-26 electoral process, followed by the voting. Expressing gratitude to the club members and executive team, Malhotra also sought forgiveness for any shortcomings during his tenure, acknowledging the collective support he received throughout the year, despite its challenges.

(SUBHEAD)The election process was conducted smoothly and in a fair, democratic manner. Out of the total 44 registered members, 43 exercised their right to vote. Monty garnered 27 votes, securing a clear majority, while his opponent Malkeet Singh received 16.

In his victory address, Monty expressed deep gratitude, saying, “Being entrusted with this responsibility for the third time is an honour. I am committed to ensuring that every voice within the club is heard and respected. My top priority will remain the welfare and progress of the club.”

He further emphasized his vision to elevate the activities of the Press Club, stating that he and his new team aim to take its initiatives to greater heights. Monty also encouraged innovative ideas and fresh perspectives from members, hoping to shape the club into a stronger and more meaningful platform for journalists.
