YOUNG TALENT SHINES: AWADH KHANNA BAGS 2ND PLACE IN DISTRICT CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP

Awadh Khanna, a Class 2 student of Sat Paul Mittal School, secured second place in the Under-7 category of the Rajiv Nayyar Memorial Ludhiana District Chess Championship 2025, held at BCM Arya School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana, on April 26–27.

The two-day championship was organised by the Ludhiana District Chess Association under the supervision of Arvinder Preet Singh.

Awadh, son of industrialist Sidharth Khanna and grandson of Gagan Khanna of Arisudana Industries Pvt. Ltd., was awarded a trophy and a certificate by the organisers.

Meanwhile, Aviraj Jain (son of Manik Jain), a student of DPS Public School, Ludhiana, secured third place in the Under-9 category.

Competitions were held across multiple categories: Under-7, Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, Under-15, Under-17, Under-19, and Open.
