SAD (A) Chief Simranjit Singh Mann on Sunday termed the Pehalgam terror attack a failure of Indian security agencies and said that the government must not put the onus on Pakistan without any evidence.

While addressing a press conference in Ferozepur, Mann said that it is not right to blame Pakistan and demanded an impartial investigation into the incident. “The government is creating a situation where a war between India and Pakistan could erupt at any time, which is not in the interest of the people on either side. Both countries possess nuclear power, and in the event of a war, no one would survive — millions of people would die. Who would be responsible for that?” said Mann.

(SUBHEAD)Mann alleged that the government is spreading hatred. “There is no evidence to suggest that Pakistan is involved in this incident. There are so many agencies working for the government, all of which have their sources, but why could they not foresee this incident?” said Mann.

While addressing media persons, Mann once again reiterated the demand to open the Hussainiwala and other borders. “There is only one way that could bring prosperity, peace, and flourishing economic conditions to both India and Pakistan, and that is by opening the borders for trade and transit,” said Mann.

Mann further said that with the opening of the border, the youth of Pakistan currently involved in illegal activities would find employment. “On May 3, we will try to reach Hussainiwala and hold a peaceful protest. However, in case the government does not allow us, we will assemble at some other place,” said Mann.
