VALEDICTORY FUNCTION OF 5-DAY INTER-STATE YOUTH EXCHANGE PROGRAM CONCLUDES

The valedictory function of the 5-Day Inter-State Youth Exchange Program was successfully held today at the MY Bharat Office, Sector-12, Chandigarh. The program was organised from 16th February to 20th February 2026 by Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India.

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation of 33 youth delegates from five districts of Jammu & Kashmir, namely Jammu, Poonch, Rajouri, Kupwara and Budgam. The initiative aimed at fostering national integration, cultural exchange and youth engagement while strengthening the vision of a developed India.

Addressing the gathering, Sh. Vinay Kumar, District Youth Officer, informed that during the five-day program, participants actively engaged in interactive sessions on the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047. The schedule also included sports activities, cultural exchanges, leadership-building exercises and daily yoga sessions to promote holistic development.

As part of the exposure visit component, participants explored some of the iconic landmarks of Chandigarh including the Rock Garden of Chandigarh, Sukhna Lake, Indian Air Force Heritage Museum, Zakir Hussain Rose Garden and Sector 17 Plaza. These visits provided participants with insights into the cultural, historical and urban heritage of the city.

The valedictory function was graced by Sh. Saurabh Joshi, Hon’ble Mayor of Chandigarh, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he appreciated the efforts of MY Bharat in bringing together youth from different regions and emphasized the importance of youth participation in nation-building. He also interacted warmly with the participants, encouraging them to become ambassadors of unity and development in their respective districts.

The Chief Guest distributed certificates to all participants of the Inter-State Youth Exchange Program and congratulated them for their active involvement throughout the program.

The event concluded on a positive note with a renewed commitment towards strengthening national integration and empowering youth as catalysts of change for a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
