All rounder Kashvee Gautam has been selected in the 15-member Indian Women’s squad for the upcoming Tri-Nation series featuring Sri Lanka and South Africa. This was confirmed by the BCCI’s official correspondence to UTCA on Tuesday. This selection marks her as the first-ever UTCA cricketer to don the Indian women’s national jersey.

The Tri-Series commences on April 27 when India will face hosts Sri Lanka and the final is set to be played on May 11. Each team will play four games with the top two teams qualifying for the final.

Kashvee’s inclusion comes on the back of her phenomenal performance in the 2025 Women’s Premier League wherein she represented Gujarat Giants by claiming 11 wickets in 9 matches and finishing as the highest Indian wicket-taker of the tournament. Kashvee is currently playing Seniors Women Multi Days tournament being played at Dehradun and has smashed 194 runs including an unbeaten century (106) in three matches.

Her consistent pace, control and match-winning spells have caught the attention of selectors, earning her a maiden call-up to the national side. This selection is even more significant as the Indian team gears up for the ICC Women’s World Cup, scheduled to be held in September-October 2025 on home soil.

UTCA President Sanjay Tandon expressed immense pride and delight at Kashvee’s selection. “Kashvee’s journey from the UTCA setup to the Indian team is truly inspirational. Her hard work, determination and performance speak volumes of her potential. We are confident she will make the nation and Chandigarh proud in the upcoming tournament.”
