JASSAL COUPLE SHINES AGAIN IN MASTER ATHLETICS

At the first Master Athletics Meet organized by Baba Farid Master Athletics Club Faridkot, Abohar's Jassal couple again performed brilliantly.

Jaspal Kaur Jassal, a retired govt school teacher and resident of Ekta Colony, won a gold medal in the 100-meter race and a silver medal in the discus throw event, participating in the 74-year-old age group.

Her husband, Gulshinder Singh Jassal, also a retired govt school teacher, participated in the age group of 73 years and won gold medals in javelin throw and long jump. The couple is known for bringing awareness against drugs.

Along with this, Hans Raj, of South Avenue, won gold medal in the 400-meter race in the age group of 72 years, while winning the bronze medal in the javelin throw.

The veteran athletes said that in the master athlete category, men and women between 30 and 80 years of age can show their power in sports.
