GRAND FELICITATION AND BOOK RELEASE CEREMONY OF “WRITTEN POLAROIDS” HELD

Deed-Ny-Deedar (Regd.), Chandigarh, in collaboration with Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi and T.S. Central State Library, successfully organised a grand Felicitation and Book Release Function on Saturday  at T.S. Central State Library, Sector-17, Chandigarh.

The highlight of the event was the formal release of the anthology “Written Polaroids – From the Album Called Life”, edited by Maninder Pal Singh, with Sub-Editors Noordeep Singh and Navya Sharma. The book beautifully encapsulates memorable reflections and creative expressions of 37 writers, presenting diverse shades of life through literature.

The ceremony was graced by Baninder Bunny Eminent Punjabi Actor and Bhupinder Malik eminent broadcaster personalities and dignitaries from the academic and cultural fraternity. Distinguished speakers appreciated the initiative for providing a vibrant platform to emerging and established writers. They lauded Deed-Ny-Deedar for consistently promoting literary culture and meaningful dialogue in the region.

During the programme, contributing writers were felicitated for their creative contributions. Selected readings from the anthology added depth and emotion to the gathering, making the occasion intellectually enriching and inspiring. The audience witnessed thoughtful discussions on literature, contemporary writing, and the role of creative expression in society.

Dr. Anish Garg, Vice Chairman, Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi, appreciated the collaborative effort and emphasized the importance of nurturing literary talent. Subhash Bhaskar, Secretary, Chandigarh Sahitya Akademi, highlighted the growing literary movement in Chandigarh. Gurdas Singh, Patron of Deed-Ny-Deedar, congratulated all contributors and encouraged continued literary engagement. The event was smoothly coordinated with the support of Dr. Neeza Singh, Librarian, and Neelam Bansal, Library Incharge.

The programme concluded on a note of celebration and collective commitment towards strengthening literary culture in Chandigarh and beyond.
