COL WARRAICH'S TEAM BOUNCED BACK BY BEATING CHANDIGARH POLO CLUB ON DAY 2 OF POLO EXHIBITION MATCHES

Colonel Warraich’s team claimed a decisive 5-2 victory over the Chandigarh Polo Club on the second day of the Polo Exhibition matches, held under the Punjab Horse Show during the Maghi Fair at Sri Muktsar Sahib .

Despite wet ground conditions, the only played match saw enthusiastic support from the spectators . Col Tarsem Warraich team dominated early by scoring three goals in the first chukkar (round) with the fine tuning from his team mates Aditya Singh and Bhanu Pratap Godara.

Chandigarh Polo Club, led by captain Dilpreet Singh Sidhu, fought back valiantly. Amaan Warring’s goal in the second chukkar narrowed the gap to 3-1, but Aditya Singh responded with another goal to extend the lead. A brilliant backhand shot by Col Warraich sealed the win at 5-2, with Dilpreet Singh adding a late goal for Chandigarh Polo Club.

Earlier, the match was inaugurated by SSP Tushar Gupta, adding a ceremonial touch to the event. The spirited competition highlighted the skill and passion for polo, drawing praise from attendees. The final and third match will be played on Monday at 11 am.
