DC HOLDS MEETING TO DISCUSS ARRANGEMENTS FOR REPUBLIC DAY-2025 CELEBRATIONS

Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh Nishant Kumar Yadav today convened a meeting of officers of various departments to discuss arrangements for Republic Day-2025 celebrations. The State function will be held at Parade Ground Sector 17 where the National Flag would be unfurled by the chief guest followed by the parade comprising the contingents from Chandigarh Police, Punjab Police, Chandigarh Home Guards, NCC cadets and school children.

Discussions were held regarding the arrangements including drinking water, power supply, sanitation, barricading, security and traffic regulation, seating arrangement, fire-tenders, medical teams, live streaming of the function etc. were also discussed in the meeting. The participation of various departments of Chandigarh Administration for displaying tableaus during the parade was also discussed.

The DC impressed upon the departmental heads to put in place all the necessary arrangements well in time for the smooth and enthusiastic celebrations of the National event.
