UT GIRLS DRUBBED TRIPURA BY FOUR WICKETS IN THE OPENING MATCH OF SENIOR ODI TOURNAMENT

The all round performance from skipper Kashvee Gautam helped UT girls to register four wicket win over Tripura in their opening encounter of Women's Seniors ODI tournament being played at Jhajjar on Wednesday.

Tripura won the toss and decided to bat first. Kashvee scalped the top order and deprived the team to score big. Rajni Devi (3/24) aptly supported Kashvee (3/28) delivered breakthroughs in regular intervals which resulted in Tripura to bundle out for 149 in the 48th over.

RR Saha (48) was the top scorer while skipper Tamanna Nigam added 35 runs. Nandini Sharma (2/30) also took two wickets. Chandigarh also had a dismal start with 37/3 on the board. Later, unbeaten Kashvee Gautam (64) and Aaradhana Bisht (40) steadied the innings to bring their team home. Chandigarh achieved the target in the 41st over at the loss of six wickets.
