A youth, who was seriously injured after suffering a head injury, got a new lease of life at the Dr. SS Tantia Medical College, Hospital and Research Center (Jan Seva Hospital) Sriganganagar with state-of-the-art world-class facilities on the Tantia University campus. His head was filled with pus and the bones had also melted.

Chief Administrative Officer of the hospital, Prof. Baljit Singh Kuldiya said that a youth living in Chautala village was going somewhere in a car when the vehicle collided with a tree. This caused serious injury to his head. He was immediately taken to a private hospital in Bathinda. There the operation took place and he was discharged after fifteen days.

After a month the problem surfaced again. It was said that his head was filled with water. The head was drained by a stent and an artificial bone was inserted. After a few days, the problem occurred again and the doctors could not give any satisfactory answer.

The family brought him to Jan Seva Hospital, where he was examined by Senior neuro surgeon Dr. Dheeraj Godara. In the CT scan, it was found that the head was filled with pus and the bone of the head had melted. Dr. Godara along with his team operated on the patient, removed the pus and fitted an artificial bone. After a few days, the youth became completely healthy and is now leading a normal life.
