In a breakthrough team of Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh has got a major success by arresting the accused Shriniwas Shiva S/o Ranjit Parsad Gupta R/o H. No 520/4, Dariya, Chandigarh age 24 yrs.
As a result of which recently registered snatching case FIR No. 126 dt 29.06.2023 U/s 379A IPC added 411 IPC of Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh has been worked out. As per directions of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, W/SSP/UT, Chandigarh, under the close guidance of Sh. Mridul, W/SP/City Chandigarh and under the supervision of Sh. Charanjit Singh Virk, DSP/South a team of officials of Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh was constituted to solve the snatching case.
Present case was registered on the complaint of Gorakh Roy S/o Raj Kishore R/o H. No 828, Hallomajra, Chandigarh age 26 yrs in which he stated that on 28.06.2024 at about 09:40PM he was going to home. When he reached slip road near Poultry Farm Chowk, in the meantime an unknown boy came from front side and snatched his mobile phone make One plus C-3 light green colour and pushed him and ran away from the spot. He can identify when he came in front of him.
On receipt of a secret information, a special team was constituted by SHO-31 and on a secret information the team headed by ASI Anil Kumar arrested accused Shriniwas Shiva S/o Ranjit Parsad Gupta R/o H. No 520/4, Dariya, Chandigarh age 24 yrs and snatched mobile phone has been recovered from his possession
