ROCK ZONE DOMINATES ROSE ZONE WITH AN INNINGS DEFEAT, PEACE ZONE AND LEISURE ZONE SETTLED IN A DRAW

Rock Zone beat Rose Zone by an innings and eight runs in a league match of the Under 16 Multi Days UTCA Domestic Cricket Tournament being played at Baba Balak Nath Cricket Academy, Kambala on Saturday. Rose Zone was all out at 133 against the deadly bowling of Baljeet Singh (4/26) and Gautam Joshi (3/38).

Later, Rock Zone scored 262 all out with the fine contributions from half centuries of skipper Akul Bhanot (88) and Sahil (74). Abhisar (4/29) took four wickets while captain Avi Sharma (3/61) clinched three wickets. Rose Zone could not stand against the deadly bowling from Sahil (4/15) and Akul Bhanot (3/18) in its second innings and was all out at 121 runs. Dhruv Khullar contributed 46 runs.

In the second match of the same category played at SSCA Cricket Academy, the match between Peace Zone and Leisure Zone settled in a draw. Peace Zone piled up 227 runs with the help of Krishna Gopal (54), Aditya Kumar (34), Hiren Pathania (32) while opposition bowler Yashjeet (4/31) took four wickets. Leisure Zone made 154 runs with top contribution from Lakshya Rana (36).

Saksham Bhatia (4/42) took four wickets. Peace Zone made 146 runs in its second innings wherein skipper Lakshya Bhullar (62) smashed half century. Leisure Zone made 133/4 runs before the match end as Sachman Singh (52)
