UT Cricket Association (UTCA) has announced its UTCA Inter Zone Cricket Tournament. In a press release, UTCA Secretary Devender Sharma stated that matches of Men's Seniors, Women's Seniors and Women's Under 19 will be held in Chandigarh and Mohali. Men's Seniors will start from June 25 at Launching Pad Cricket Academy. Mohali.
Six teams will compete in the ODI format. Manan Vohra has been given the command of Terrace Zone while Karan Kaila is leading Rose Zone. Jagjit Singh Sandhu is the captain of Rock Zone while Shivam Bhambri is assigned with Plaza Zone. Sukhna Zone will be led by Raj Angad Bawa while Leisure Zone is Mohammad Arsalan Khan.
Two matches will be played on Tuesday wherein Rock Zone and Rose Zone play the opening encounter. Plaza Zone will take on Terrace Zone in another ground of the academy. A total of 15 matches will be played in this category.
Meanwhile, matches of the women's seniors category will be held at Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36 on T20 basis. There are four teams in this pool which will be competing in six league and one final match. Under 19 women are also gearing up on Tuesday as at St. Stephen's School, Sector 45 on T20 basis. A total of six league and one final will be played in this category.
