International Women's Day was celebrated with great pomp on Thursday at the Punjab National Bank’s Circular Road branch, under which women were honored.
Branch Manager Lakhveer Kumar lauded the contribution of women in the society and said that today's educated women are not behind men in any field of the society. They are shoulder to shoulder contributing in some way or the other to the development of the country.
He informed about the schemes run by the bank like Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Power Saving Account, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana etc.
On the occasion, women performed the cake cutting ceremony. Pooja Garg presented a very beautiful poem on working women. Bank staff including Gaurav Raheja, Pradeep Bulandi, Lakhvinder Singh, Pooja Munjal, Shaifali Chawla, Manisha Soni, Sunil Kumar, Chiman Lal, Rakesh Kumar etc. were present.
