In a swift and commendable operation, the Police successfully apprehended five individuals involved in the recent robbery of 1.2kg gold from a jeweller Anna who was returning from Delhi after buying Gold. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, saw the perpetrators making off with a significant amount of gold after a daring heist wherein they abducted the complainant from near Railway Station Abohar thereafter robbed him of approx. 1.2 Kg gold and dropped him out of the car at outskirts of the city.
SSP Varinder Singh Brar said that the gold robbed from the jeweller, along with the perpetrators' vehicle and the weapons used in the incident, were all successfully recovered. An FIR No38 dated 05/03/2024 u/s 365,392,406 IPC has been registered at PS City1 Abohar.
The collaborative efforts of law enforcement officers involved in the investigation led to the prompt resolution of this case, showcasing their dedication to ensuring the safety and security of the community.
The SSP said that 1 Kg 163 gm Approx Gold, Accent car used in incident, weapon have been recovered.
Five locals: Jashanpreet Singh Jashan s/o Parminder Singh Teetu r/o Seed Farm, Bharat Kumar s/o Prem Kumar r/o Sant Nagar, Charanjit Singh Channu s/o Jarnail Singh r/o Jammu Basti, Kamal Kumar Shiva s/o Prem Kumar r/o Sant Nagar Abohar and Sunny Soni s/o Suresh Kumar r/o Nai Abadi have been arrested.
