The 66 Bn BSF organized a Civic Action Programme in the Government Primary School of border village Muhar Jamsher. Arun Kumar Verma, Commandant, 66 Battalion BSF distributed 27 bench-tables for the school students with the aim to extend basic facilities to the school children.
(MOREPIC1) Apart from the school Headmaster Sumit Juneja, village Sarpanch and the locals also attended the event.
The 66 Battalion BSF has also been contributing to encourage the students to join the Armed / Police Forces as their career by organising various programs from time to time.
Commandant Arun Kumar Verma ensured that such programs will be regularly conducted for the upliftment of children in the border areas so that children can pursue their lives in the right way. Further, during the above program children, teachers and locals took pledge against the drugs abuses and Unit Commandant also requested them to spread the message about the “ill-effects of drugs in the society” amongst the youth, children living within their house as well as their neighbourhoods.
A motivational video on drug de-addiction was also shown on the television screen to create awareness about the drug addiction.
