Apna Abohar Apni Aabha team conducted the 128th cleanliness campaign in main Shivpuri on Mahashya Kripa Ram Marg here on Saturday.
Under the leadership of MLA Sandeep Jakhar, more than two dozen workers came together to clean the historic place and remove the dirt lying here. Mayor Vimal Thatai said that the residents should contribute in making Abohar beautiful.
Jakhar said that single-use-plastic is harmful not only for our health but also for the environment and sewerage system. If the animal swallows it, it may even die. He appealed to the city residents to use glass or steel utensils instead of disposable ones in marriages and other functions. He also motivated people to carry a bag made of cloth from home while going to market.
Divya Jyoti Jagriti Sansthan made arrangements for tea and snacks for the volunteers.
