Republic Day was celebrated by the Abohar Journalist Association under the chairmanship of President Tejinder Singh Khalsa.
Satyanarayan Sharma, Rajinder Soni, Sandeep Sokhal, Raghav Nagpal, Davinder Pal, Avtar Gill, Dharmendra Kumar, Raj Narula. Praveen Juneja, Raj Kumar Goyal, Sonu Bulandi, Chandan Juneja, Gurvinder Vipan, Aniket Bhardwaj, Anish Narula, Balkaran Singh, Paramjit Singh, Rohtash Sokhal were present.
Highlighting the importance of Republic Day, TS Khalsa said that January 26 is celebrated as Republic Day because it is the day when the Constitution of India came into force. On this day in 1950, India adopted its Constitution and became a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic. Republic Day commemorates the coming into force of the Constitution.
