Abohar legislator Sandeep Jakhar celebrated his daughter Meera’s birth day in the Sub Divisional Civil Hospital and wished the patients fast recovery and all the happiness. The father-daughter duo served food to all the patients as well as their attendants at night. It was also an occasion for Meera to understand which facilities the government hospital misses besides long-awaited deployment of medical specialists for which her father had been struggling with the ruling dispensation but had a marginal success.

The MLA and her daughter walked to each ward and room to interact with the patients and serve hygienically prepared food that Jakhar had learnt while pursuing a degree in hotel management abroad. He said that Sewa Bharti volunteers have been doing yeoman’s service by serving food to the patients and attendants for each day for the past 36 years, the NGO also runs a newspaper reading room and library for the inmates. He gave a message on social media platforms to all locals to celebrate the birthday of their children by serving food to the patients in the government hospital.
