In an important initiative aimed at establishing Delhi’s spiritual and cultural heritage as a global tourism hub, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched four new tourism circuits at the Akshardham mandir on Tuesday. The event was attended by senior officials from the tourism ministry, dignitaries, and a large number of citizens.

The event, titled the “Spiritual and Heritage Tourism Conclave 2026,” was organized by the Delhi Government’s Tourism Department. Sadhguru Shri Jaggi Vasudev ji also took part in the conclave. During the conclave event, a special “Heritage Walk” was also organized within the Akshardham complex, in which participants learned about the finer details of Delhi’s cultural and architectural heritage.

Sadhguru Shri visited the Akshardham temple and appreciated its spiritual significance. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta expressed her joy at inaugurating the initiative at the sacred Akshardham complex.

The four new circuits launched by the Tourism Department connect prominent mandirs and other religious sites in the capital with historical and cultural landmarks that have so far received relatively less attention on the tourism map. The Tourism Department aims to enable tourists to experience Delhi’s rich religious and historical heritage as part of a single journey.

Notably, the venue of the event, Akshardham, stands as one of the most vivid examples of Delhi’s spiritual and architectural heritage. Recognised by Guinness World Records as the ‘world’s largest comprehensive Hindu mandir, the mandir showcases India’s thousands of years of cultural and architectural heritage and its high ideals to visitors from across the world.

BAPS spiritual head Mahant Swami Ji Maharaj, had offered prayers for everyone’s progress, good health, and righteous living. Munivatsal Swami, the administrative head of Akshardham, played an important role in this entire program.
