DOUBLE TRIUMPH IN POETRY AND DANCE: CHOREOGRAPHER SREE DASGUPTA HONORED WITH ‘BANGLAR ADITIYA GAURAV SAMMAN 2026’

Eminent poet and celebrated Srejani Dasgupta (choreographer Sree Dasgupta) has achieved yet another remarkable milestone by beautifully blending literature and dance. Following her previous prestigious accolades—the ‘Rabindra Ratna Puraskar’ and the national-level ‘PM Modi Vision Award’—she has now been conferred with the highly esteemed ‘Banglar Aditiya Gaurav Samman 2026’. The National Academy of Saksharta Mission presented her with this honor in recognition of her outstanding poetry writing and exceptional dance choreography.

Srejani Dasgupta (Choreographer Sree) who has notably worked as an assistant choreographer to the legendary Bollywood dance maestro, the late Master Ji (Saroj Khan), expressed her profound gratitude for this new achievement.

The distinguished artist’s birthplace is the historic city of Chandannagar, West Bengal where her artistic roots were deeply planted and nurtured. Following her marriage, her spouse’s house is now located in Howrah. West Bengal.
