HARYANA CONGRESS TOUGH ON CROSS VOTING IN RAJYA SABHA ELECTIONS, 5 MLAs SUSPENDED

Face2News/Chandigarh

The Indian National Congress has taken strict action over a breach of organizational discipline by suspending five MLAs from Haryana with immediate effect.

Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee President Rao Narender Singh announced that the suspended legislators are Shaili Chaudhary (Narayangarh), Renu Bala (Sadhaura), Jarnail Singh (Ratia), Mohammad Ilyas (Punahana), and Mohammad Israel (Hathin).

He stated that the decision was taken following the recommendation of the state disciplinary committee and with the approval of Mallikarjun Kharge, President of the All India Congress Committee.

The MLAs were found guilty of “anti-party activities” after they voted against the party’s officially authorized candidate during the recently held Rajya Sabha elections, which is considered a serious violation of party discipline.

Rao Narender Singh emphasized that discipline remains paramount in the party and any deviation from the official party line will not be tolerated. He added that the action sends a clear message to all leaders and workers that strict measures will be enforced against those acting against collective party decisions.
