Abohar. Late last night, two people were brutally attacked by some youths at the taxi stand near the bus stand of Abohar and were left bleeding. Both were admitted to the hospital for treatment, doctors referred them to Faridkot after first aid.

It is said that the injured persons were preventing the hooded youth from firing crackers by Bullet bikers last night. Jitendra Mehta, of Jammu Basti, who is undergoing treatment, said that last night he and his friend Daljinder Singh of Panjpir Nagar, were sitting at a taxi stand at around 10 pm. Meanwhile, two youths were deliberately bursting firecrackers. He did forbid the said youth from doing so. Due to which they had an argument and left from there.

After about 15 minutes, the said youth brought two dozen friends using 10 bikes and Jitendra and Daljinder with sticks and left them bleeding. Hearing their noise, people gathered nearby and the attackers ran away from there. People immediately took him to the hospital where he was referred after first aid. When he was back admitted to Abohar hospital after getting treatment in Faridkot, taxi union chief Bobby Khatri also came to inquire about his well being and demanded action.

City-1 Police station in-charge Maninder Singh said that the MLR of the injured has been received. After recording their statements, the assailants will be traced and appropriate action will be taken against them.
