LIONS CLUB TO ORGANIZE ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION SERVICE WEEK

Taking serious note of the continuously increasing environmental threats, Lions Club International is going to organize a special Service Week in the upcoming month of June. During this Service Week, people will be made aware of the proper disposal of E-Waste, the harmful effects of polythene bags, their correct usage, and proper disposal methods. Special focus will be given to awakening students towards environmental protection. This was announced at the Region Jyeshta Conference “Ansh 2026” hosted by Lions Club Sri Ganganagar Vishwas. The program was presided over by Region Chairman Shailendra Sahu.

District Governor Sudhir Vajpayee expressed deep concern over the environment and said that the club regularly organizes tree plantation programs, but rising threats like plastic, polythene, and E-Waste have now become new challenges for the environment. Incoming District Governor Ashutosh Vashishth informed that a new Lions Bhawan will soon be constructed in Jaipur. Deputy District Governor (Second) R.S. Madan said that in District 3233 E-1, along with Gwalior, the Lions Clubs of Sri Ganganagar and Hanumangarh districts are the most active.

Chief Guest, MLA Jaydeep Bihani, appreciated the social work being done by Lions Club. Past District Governor Nitin Manglik explained in detail how the club can adopt new concept projects for social service keeping in view the current times. Past District Governors Sumer Jain, Anjana Jain, Jyoti Prakash Kanda, and Past Region Chairman Narendra Changia also spoke.
