Police have arrested main shooters in connection with the murder of Ajay Hotel owner Ramesh alias Suresh Bijarnia at Bhadra in Hanumangarh on May 30. A police team nabbed them between Rohtak and Bhattu in Haryana.
Hanumangarh Superintendent of Police Hari Shankar said that Kapil Jat of Bhangarh Bhirani and his accomplice Sushil Meghwal of Rupana Sirsa, have been arrested. Two others Rajesh alias Kanchan and Harsh Vardhan Negi were earlier caught by the police on charges of helping the shooters.
(SUBHEAD)The SP said that Kapil, along with his partner Sushil, was also planning to avenge the murder of his maternal uncle Satyavan. He was about to flee to Nepal after killing suspect Balraj, a resident of Bandheri. A police team chased them after they were located traveling in a Scorpio vehicle in Rohtak and Hisar region. The police team controlled both of them between Rohtak and Bhattu.
Police said that two individuals fired a dozen rounds, six of which hit Ajay hotel owner Ramesh alias Suresh when he was sitting at his hotel lawn on the evening of May 30, he died. The bullets were removed during the post-mortem the next day. Based on the report given by Ramesh's son Kuldeep, a case of murder was registered against Kapil Jat and his unknown accomplice.
Kapil's father Dharampal Bagri was killed in 2001. Hotel owner Ramesh alias Suresh was arrested in this case. He remained in jail for a long time. Later he was acquitted by the court. To avenge his father's murder, Kapil along with his friend Sushil planned and executed Ramesh’s murder.
Police said that Kapil had hired Rajesh and Harsh Vardhan for recee of the hotel owner, one of them stayed in a rented room near the hotel to keep an eye of the movement of the hotelier. Both were on a standby duty with a bike outside the hotel to help the shooters escape after the murder on May 30.
