AKS Abohar won four prizes in the 70th All India Dance and Drama Competition organized by All India Artist Association in Shimla. 26 teams from different parts of the country participated in this tough competition.
AKS president Mangat Verma and Press Secretary Raghav Nagpal said that AKS staged the drama 'Wrong Number' scripted by Pali Bhupinder and directed by Rajinder Raja. The audience kept clapping repeatedly during the drama's presentation. The jury declared the drama as the second-best drama of the competition.
(SUBHEAD)Two lead actors of this play Rajni Verma and Sandeep Verma received the best consolation award while music director Shanu received the best music award. TV and film actor Anjam Gulati of AKS was felicitated with the Award of Honor for his contributions.
In the play, Sandeep Verma, Rajni Verma, Sidak, Mangat Verma, Rajinder Raja and Karan showed their art and got a lot of applause. Impressed by the performance, film celebrities Rohtash Gaur, Rekha Gaur and Dayal Prasad said that AKS has been participating in this competition for the last 34 years and glories the name of Abohar each time. In particular, director Surinder Narula, director Deepak Kamboj, Satish Patel, Bobby Sandha, Vikram Kamra, Abhijeet Wadhwa, Manjeet Ube, Ashwani Miglani, Pankaj Garg, Amardeep, Ajay Indora and Jassi are all worthy of congratulations.
