SRI LANKA ARMY COMMANDER VISITS JAIPUR, INTERACTED WITH ARMY COMMANDER OF SOUTH WESTERN COMMAND AND EXCHANGED VALUABLE INSIGHTS AND EXPERIENCES.

The Commander of Sri Lanka Army, Lt Gen BKGM Lasantha Rodrigo arrived on a significant two days visit to Sapta Shakti Command, Jaipur. The General Officer was received by Lt Gen Manjinder Singh, Army Commander, South Western Command. 

The Commander of Sri Lanka Army interacted with Army Commander and officers of South Western Command and exchanged valuable insights and experiences. The two General Officers engaged in detailed discussions on regional security, joint training initiatives, capability development and exchange of best practices. Lt Gen Rodrigo witnessed an equipment display and a combat demonstration on counter terrorism operations.  

(SUBHEAD)In addition to his military engagements, Lt Gen Rodrigo visited military and heritage sites, where he explored the rich military and cultural heritage of Rajasthan. 

The visit of Lt Gen BKGM Lasantha Rodrigo underscores the ongoing commitment by both Sri Lanka and India to deepen their robust defence cooperation, which has been built over decades of shared history, mutual trust, and regional partnership. It also served as an important step towards strengthening the camaraderie and personal bonds between the two armies, capacity building, military training exchanges and coordinated response to regional challenges.
