A sensational incident came to light in Zirakpur tehsil late on Monday evening, when unknown assailants opened fire on property dealer Jagtar Singh Sundara.
According to the information, the incident took place when Jagtar Singh Sundar was coming out of his office. Two attackers riding a motorcycle suddenly started firing. However, the bullet passed by touching Sundar and he narrowly escaped. There was no major loss of life and property in this attack, but panic spread in the area.
As soon as the incident was reported, the police reached the spot and investigation has been started. Police officials said that footage of nearby CCTV cameras is being scanned to identify the attackers. Prima facie, the case is believed to be related to enmity or property dispute, although the police is investigating from all angles.
The police have registered a case against the unknown attackers and claimed to arrest them soon. This incident has raised concerns about security among the local people.
