Rajasthan Agriculture Minister Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena raided five warehouses in Suratgarh, Sriganganagar and checked the storage of fertilizers and pesticides in the warehouses. Meena reached the local warehouse of a fertilizers company in the industrial area of Suratgarh and found that 32 thousand bags of DAP fertilizer had been received 10 days ago but not distributed to farmers.
(MOREPIC1)The minister called the agriculture officials on the spot, and formed different teams to visit all the five major warehouses. He instructed the officials to distribute the fertilizer properly. He also inspected the stock of pesticides that were kept in another godown. He told officials to take a sample of urea fertilizer from a godown and seal it.
A team of officials including Agriculture Department Joint Director Satish Sharma, Assistant Director Surjeet Kumar and Horticulture Deputy Director Preeti Garg accompanied the minister.
