IIT ROPAR COLLABORATES WITH HRIT UNIVERSITY, GHAZIABAD TO LAUNCH ITS 13TH CYBER-PHYSICAL SYSTEM CPS LAB ADVANCING RESEARCH AND SKILL DEVELOPMENT IN CPS

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar proudly inaugurated its 13th Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) Lab supported by (NM-ICPS), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India at HRIT University, Ghaziabad. The event marked a major step forward in the collaborative mission to expand access to advanced research and real-world applications of CPS technologies across academic institutions.

The event began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and graced by the presence of Shri Sunil Sharma, Hon’ble Minister of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of Uttar Pradesh, who addressed the gathering and lauded the collaborative efforts of IIT Ropar and HRIT University in advancing India’s digital and innovation landscape.

The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Anil Agrawal, Chancellor of HRIT University, emphasized the importance of such strategic partnerships in empowering students and faculty with emerging technologies.

This was followed by opening remarks from Dr. Rajeev Ahuja, Director of IIT Ropar, who highlighted the national mission of establishing CPS infrastructure and enabling cross-sectoral innovation.
Dr. Pushpendra P. Singh, Dean (Corporate, Alumni, Placements & Strategies) and Project Director (Annam.AI & AWaDH) at IIT Ropar, provided a comprehensive overview of IIT Ropar’s Agritech and CPS initiatives, and elaborated on the vision and capabilities of the newly established CPS Lab at HRIT University.
