The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested an Officer of Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN), Ujjain and his middleman, for taking bribe of Rs. 3 lakh from the complainant.
The CBI registered the instant case on 17.07.2025 against the said accused persons on allegations of demand of bribe by an Officer, CBN through his middleman from the complainant for not implicating him and his family in a narcotics case.
CBI laid a trap on 17.07.2025 and apprehended the said middleman red-handed while taking bribe of Rs.3 lakh from the complainant on behalf of the Officer, CBN. The bribe amount was successfully recovered from the said middleman, who collected the bribe on the direction of said CBN Officer.
Searches were conducted on 17.07.2025 at 03 different places of accused persons located in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Investigation is underway.
