CBI ARRESTS TWO AMONG ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, ARUNACHAL PRADESH WHILE ACCEPTING BRIBE OF RS. 55,000

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested an Assistant Professor, College of Agriculture, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, while accepting a bribe of Rs. 55,000/- from a private person.

CBI registered the case on 23.07.2025 against the accused Assistant Professor, College of Agriculture, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, a private person of a private company and unknown others on allegations that the accused public servant demanded bribe from the private person in lieu of the award of contract and release of payments by the public servant.

CBI laid a trap and caught both the accused while the public servant was accepting bribe of Rs. 55 thousand from the private person. Both the accused persons were arrested on 23.07.2025 and presently they are in police custody.

Searches at the premises of the accused persons are being conducted. The case is under active investigation.
