Face2News/Chandigarh

The Chandigarh Administration has announced that free travel facilities will be provided to all women passengers on the auspicious occasion of “Raksha Bandhan”, falling on Saturday, 09th August 2025.

This special facility will be available in all Local AC and Non-AC buses operated by CTU and CCBSS within the Tri-City. However, it is important to note that this concession will not apply to CTU long-route buses.

This initiative aims to encourage women to travel freely and safely as they celebrate the festival, strengthening the spirit of Raksha Bandhan and supporting gender-inclusive public transport services.
