1 CHANDIGARH AIR SQUADRON OF NCC EMERGES CHAMPIONS AT INTER GROUP COMPETITION, QUALIFIES FOR PRESTIGIOUS ALL INDIA VAYU SAINIK CAMP

The 1 Chandigarh Air Squadron NCC soared to victory, securing first position at the Inter Group Competition for the All India Vayu Sainik Camp, held at the NCC Academy, Rupnagar from 02–11 August 2025.

Competing against top teams from Rohtak, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Ambala, Amritsar, Patiala, Shimla, and Chandigarh, the squadron excelled in Drill, Tent Pitching, Firing, Aero Modelling, Drone Operations, Flying, and Health & Hygiene.

On the occasion, Group Captain Manish Kumar, Commanding Officer, 1 Punjab Battalion NCC, while felicitating the winners said that this achievement reflects the squadron’s relentless dedication, precision, and teamwork. They have brought immense pride to Chandigarh and set a benchmark for others to follow.

He further said that this victory has not only secured their place in the upcoming prestigious All India Vayu Sainik Camp but has also reinforced NCC Chandigarh’s standing as a hub for discipline, skill and leadership among youth.
