Chandigarh Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Krishan Lal issued a statement saying that the program held yesterday at Daria village was not an official event of the Chandigarh Congress. Almost all the people who organized this program have already been expelled from the Congress Party. These are the same individuals who openly opposed Congress candidate Shri Manish Tewari during the Lok Sabha elections in Chandigarh. However, the names of expelled not mentioned in release.
At a time when the All India Congress Party, under the leadership of Shri Rahul Gandhi, was striving hard to secure victory on every seat and working with full determination to see him as the Prime Minister, these so-called leaders were working against Congress candidate Shri Manish Tewari in Chandigarh. During the Lok Sabha election, they neither organized a single rally nor campaigned for the party.
(SUBHEAD)It was only due to the strong organization built by the Party President Shri H.S. Lucky and the growing popularity of Shri Manish Tewari that the Congress secured victory in Chandigarh. Now, seeing the party’s expanding base, strong organization, and increasing popularity, these expelled individuals are roaming around carrying the Congress flag. The party has nothing to do with them. The public is urged not to pay any attention to such people.
The only reason they are organizing such events and carrying the Congress flag today is because the municipal elections are due next year. Having witnessed the hard work and struggle of Chandigarh Congress President Shri Harmohinder Singh Lucky and the rising popularity of MP Shri Manish Tewari, these expelled individuals now want to contest elections and are trying to find their footing.
There is no place in the Congress Party for traitors who opposed Congress and helped the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections. All leaders and workers are appealed to remain cautious and not be misled, as Chandigarh Congress has no connection with these people.

If rifts between looser and winner in Congress continues, Manish Tiwari will shift his candidature from congress ticket from any other place as he can not face defeat. He was lucky wins as AAP and congress poll pact, which was not broken. And Tiwari, who was elected MP from Ludhiana, Anandpur Sahib and now from Chandigarh , can move to Delhi lefting fight for Pawan Bansal Versus AAP.
