PCDA WESTERN COMMAND HOSTS AUDIT OFFICER’S CONFERENCE TO ENHANCE FINANCIAL DISCIPLINE

The Office of the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Western Command), Chandigarh, successfully conducted the Local Audit Officers (LAO)’s conference on 22-23 August, 2025. The conference provided a platform for discussion and knowledge sharing among the participants, focusing on enhancing financial discipline and professionalism in defence accounting.

The conference was inaugurated by General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Western Command, Lt. Gen. Manoj Kumar Katiyar, who commended the PCDA (WC) and its staff for their unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial discipline and professionalism. Lt. Gen. Katiyar emphasized the critical role played by the Defence Accounts Department in supporting the operational readiness and welfare of troops.

During the conference, Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (WC), Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, highlighted the ongoing efforts of the PCDA (WC) office to streamline the audit process, ensuring efficiency and transparency. With a commitment to excellence, the PCDA (WC) office continues to work towards ensuring the highest standards of financial management in the defence sector, he added.
