CANCER SCREENING CAMP ORGANIZED UNDER “SWASTH NARI SASHAKT PARIVAR ABHIYAN” AT GMCH-32

Cancer screening camp was organised on the second day of the launch of the “Swasth Naari Sashakt Parivar” Abhiyan, at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) , Sector 32 . This initiative, running upto 02nd October, 2025 is a part of a larger national effort to promote women’s health and nutrition for strengthening family and community health outcomes.

The camp offered oral cancer screening, breast cancer screening as well as routine check-ups for hypertension, diabetes, obesity, lifestyle and dietary counselling. Free registration was provided to all beneficiaries.

Dr. G.P. Thami, Director Principal of GMCH-32, took a round of the activities along with Dr. Sonia Puri, Associate Professor and Nodal Officer of the programme. Both highlighted the importance of preventive health care and encouraged women to actively participate in regular health screenings.
