Under the Government of India’s “Swachhata Hi Seva” campaign, a special cleanliness drive was organized on Tuesday all employees and students enrolled in various courses being conducted at the Regional Institute of Cooperative Management, Sector-32C, Chandigarh.

The campaign was inaugurated by the Director of the Institute, Dr. Rajiv Kumar, who addressed all the employees, students, and other participants, emphasizing the importance of cleanliness. He encouraged everyone to maintain cleanliness regularly at their workplaces, educational premises, and surrounding areas.

As part of the campaign, cleaning activities were carried out not only within the institute premises but also in the public park located in Sector-32. Employees and students collectively collected waste, cleaned dustbins, and installed awareness boards promoting a plastic-free environment. This initiative embodies the spirit of “Jan Bhagidari Se Jan Andolan” (People’s Participation for a Mass Movement), which is one of the core objectives of the Swachh Bharat Mission.

At the conclusion of the campaign, all participants took a pledge to uphold cleanliness. The institute remains committed to actively contributing to such social and national causes through similar activities in the future as well.
