HEALTH DEPARTMENT ORGANIZED TWO MEGA HEALTH CAMP AT UAAM-49 AND UCHC 22

Camp at UAAM 49 was inaugurated by Director Health Services,Dr Suman Singh along with Director PGIMER Prof Vivek Lal in presence of officers from health department and PGIMER. Another camp at UCHC sector 22 was inaugurated by dr Suman Singh .

hese camps aimed to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the public with the availability of specialists from various medical fields.

Focus of the camps was services for improving health of women and children like ANC care, Immunization, Adolescent Health, Anaemia, NCD screening, Oral health etc. Kiosks for ABHA and AYUSHMAN were also established.

Specialists from field of Medicine, Gynae Obstetrics, Skin, Eye, ENT, Dental, Psychiatry etc also provide their services during this camp. A handheld X-ray machine was deployed for on-the-spot chest X-rays, along with sputum testing and other essential laboratory investigations. Additionally, food baskets were distributed to TB patients as a measure of nutritional support, emphasizing the department’s commitment to holistic patient care.\

This camp is a part of a series of health initiatives launched on 17th September 2025, aimed at reaching out to communities with accessible and quality healthcare services. Along with this , camps were also organised at 29 AAMs and 17 UAAMs in Chandigarh. People from all age groups visited these camps and availed services. Health Department Chandigarh thank the residents of tricity for attending health camps in huge numbers and making them successful.
