Continuing its heartfelt Diwali tradition, NGO Tammana celebrated its initiative “Light A Life” – on Sunday morning,  at Village Singhpura, Zirakpur. The event lit up many hearts as volunteers came together to share warmth, joy, and festive spirit with the local community.

The celebration included the distribution of earthen diyas, mustard oil bottles, gifts, and refreshments and sweets , along with an engaging diya-painting activity that saw over 40 children participating with creativity and enthusiasm. Their beautifully painted diyas symbolized hope, inclusion, and the true light of Diwali.

Isha Kakaria, Founder President of NGO Tammana, shared, “This Diwali too, we wanted to go beyond lighting our own homes. Seeing children’s faces glow with excitement while painting diyas reminded us of what true celebration means – spreading happiness and lighting lives together.”

Since its inception in 2008, NGO Tammana has organized more than 170 impactful events, each designed to serve society through compassion-driven initiatives in education, healthcare, empowerment, and sustainability.

Meenakshi Mahajan, Office Coordinator, added, “It was a heartwarming sight to see the entire community come together in the festive spirit. Our volunteers put in their best to make the festive celebration special for every child.”
