CHANDIGARH POLICE DISTRIBUTED SWEETS TO DEPLOYED FORCES ON DUTY

The Diwali festival celebrated with great enthusiasm by all walk of life. The Chandigarh Police was fully committed to ensure peaceful celebration of this festival. In this regard approximately 850 police personnels were deployed in busy markets, colonies, residential areas.

Special lady squad was deployed in the markets. Further 42 floating Nakas were laid down at different locations in the city to curb the snatching incidents. On the other hand PCR vehicles were fully briefed to remain on high alert. To tackle the vehicles parking at different parking 38 lots were identified in different locations in the city especially schools ground to facilitate the general public. Moreover, 137 crackers related and 22 fire incidents calls were reported which were responded immeiately

Similarly sweets were also distributed to all the force deployed on duty to mark the gesture of Dilwali celebration. Even SSP UT personally distributed the sweets to force while supervising the duties in the city.

Thus the event of Diwali festival passed peacefully in the city.
