The Haryana Government has taken strict action to ensure transparency in the ongoing millet procurement process by suspending officials from two mandis. The action was taken after discrepancies were found between the e-procurement portal and the H-register of the Market Committee in the New Grain Market, Kanina and Grain Market, Kosli, along with irregularities in the gate pass issuance process.

Divulging more details in this regard, an official spokesperson informed that as per the orders issued by the Chief Administrator, Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, Manoj Parashar, Secretary-cum-EO of New Grain Market, Kanina, and Narender Kumar, Secretary-cum-EO of Grain Market, Kosli, have been suspended with immediate effect.

In addition, in the case of issuing fake gate passes using different IPs in Market Committee Karnal, action has been taken against three officials. Hardeep and Ashwani, Mandi Supervisors, and Satbir, Auction Recorder, have been suspended with immediate effect.

The spokesperson shared that the government has clarified that no negligence or irregularity in any process related to farmers’ interests will be tolerated. The state government is continuously monitoring mandis to ensure transparent and fair procurement, and strict directions have been reissued to all concerned officials to maintain full diligence at every level during the procurement process.
