Under the guidance of Indresh Kumar, Chief Patron of the Forum for Awareness of National Security (FANNS), a seminar on “Pakistan’s Proxy War and India’s Internal Security” was organised by FANNS, Chandigarh Chapter in collaboration with the Department of Defence and National Security Studies, Panjab University.

(MOREPIC1)  Defence experts, strategists and scholars discussed Pakistan’s prolonged proxy strategy and its impact on India’s internal stability. Major General Anil Khosla (Retd.), President, FANNS said that Pakistan’s proxy war is not confined only to the borders, but is being waged at social and psychological levels as well. India must counter it with citizen awareness and strategic clarity.

Major General Neeraj Bali (Retd.), Colonel Jaibans Singh (Retd.) and Assistant Professor Harkamanpreet Singh Sandhu emphasised the need to strengthen internal security, highlighting hybrid warfare and drug-based destabilisation attempts. They pointed out that Pakistan aims to weaken India’s social and moral fabric through information, propaganda and narcotics.

Scholars, students and defence observers present on the occasion exchanged views on the evolving dimensions of national security. The programme was effectively coordinated by Rahul Sharma, General Secretary, FANNS Chandigarh Chapter.

The seminar concluded with a message to strengthen India’s internal security through citizen awareness, strategic clarity and national unity – echoing Indresh Kumar’s vision of a secure, aware and self-reliant India.

Prominent attendees included Vikramaditya Singh, Raj Kishore (National General Secretary, FANNS), Dr. B.P. Yadav (Mentor, Chandigarh Chapter), senior defence experts and university faculty members.
