Even when the number of participants in the previous marathon events ranged from 5,000 to 8,000, which is considered the highest in Punjab, the venue for the 6th marathon, to be held on Sunday, November 16, has been changed due to the enthusiasm for this event.

Speaking about the event organized by the Jakhar Trust, MLA Sandeep Jakhar said that this time the marathon will start from Shaheed Udham Singh Chowk in Abha Square. Snickers has offered to be a partner.

He added that as part of the “Nashon Se Dur, Khelon Ki Aur- Apna Abohar” campaign, the marathon will feature 5-kilometer, 10-kilometer, and 21-kilometer races. For all categories, registration is mandatory. T-shirts and medals will be presented to all, and refreshments will be provided.

He said that given the rapid spread of water and air pollution, it is essential to raise awareness about health. The marathon is being organized with this objective. In the past, the Trust has organized numerous seminars and sports competitions which have shown positive results. It is hoped that people will participate enthusiastically in the marathon as well.

Vikas Singla, Babbu Osho, Hardev Singh, Deepak Bansal, Saryu Gaba, Puneet Arora Sonu, Prince Arniwala, Dr. Mukesh, Amit Singla, Aman Moond and Raghav Nagpal were present. A T-shirt for the 21-km runners was released.
