Union Minister for Home and Cooperation Amit Shah, while addressing the “Pramukh Varni Amrit Mahotsav” organized by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha in Ahmedabad, said that it is impossible to fully describe the entire life work, divine memories, and infinite virtues of Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj. He said that today the “Pramukh Varni Amrit Mahotsav” organized by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha takes place in a very serene atmosphere on the banks of the Sabarmati River, which is a pleasant experience.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghvi, and State BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma, along with several other dignitaries, were present on the occasion.
The program began with kirtan singing. Group dances were performed to spiritual songs. The organization's chief, Mahant Swami Ji Maharaj, released two books and one MP3 audiobook. He blessed author Yogi Trivedi. He tied a sacred thread on Amit Shah's wrist. Other senior saints welcomed other distinguished guests.
Speakers included Pujya Adarshjivan Swami, Pujya Aksharvatsal Swami, Pujya Brahmavihari Swami, Pujya Anandswarup Swami and veteran Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami. Based on the theme “Pramukh Swami Ji Maharaj, the Ocean of Virtues,” the program lasted for approximately four hours. Senior Swamis – Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami, Pujya Viveksagar Swami and Pujya Tyagvallabh Swami – honoured Pujya Mahant Swami Ji Maharaj with garlands. The program concluded with an aarti and spectacular show of fireworks.
