Narinder Kumar, a renowned mountaineer from Mingni Khera village in Hisar district of Haryana, launched the national spiritual campaign “Ayodhya se Shikar – Dharma Dhwaja Shraddha Yatra” at a special press conference held at the Chandigarh Press Club. He becomes the first Indian mountaineer to initiate this nationwide mission, aimed at taking India’s spiritual strength, cultural identity, and the ideals of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram to the highest peaks of the world.

Inspired by the 22-fit Dharma Dhwaja hoisted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Narinder Kumar will embark on his journey to the Mount Everest Base Camp on December 21, where he will unfurl a symbolic replica of the sacred flag. In 2026, he will scale the highest peaks of all seven continents to spread the message of Shri Ram across the globe.

A Fit India Ambassador and associate member of the Indian Mountaineering Foundation, Narinder Kumar has already conquered several iconic peaks, including Mount Lhotse, Annapurna-I, Manaslu, Kilimanjaro, and Elbrus. Speaking at the event, he said the expedition is inspired by the historic flag-hoisting at Ayodhya and aims to elevate India’s spiritual pride and national honour. Through this mission, he hopes to promote the ideals of Shri Ram, showcase India’s cultural and spiritual heritage on a global stage, motivate youth under the Fit India movement, and strengthen India’s presence within the international mountaineering community.

The historic yatra will commence from Ayodhya Dham on December 21 and proceed via Nepal to the Everest Base Camp. In 2026, under his “Seven Continents, Seven Summits Global Dharma Dhwaja Expedition,” Narinder will unfurl the sacred Dharma Dhwaja atop Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa), Mount Kosciuszko (Australia), Mount Everest (Asia), Denali (North America), Mount Elbrus (Europe), Mount Vinson (Antarctica), and Aconcagua (South America).

Sharing his vision, Narinder Kumar said the mission is not merely about mountaineering but about carrying India’s spiritual power, the ideals of Shri Ram, and the nation’s pride to the world’s highest summits.
