TWO-DAY WORKSHOP ON NARRATIVE JOURNALISM AND HUMAN-INTEREST STORYTELLING FROM FEB. 9

In an initiative to enhance storytelling skills among journalists, the Chandigarh Press Club, in collaboration with Newsreel Asia and the High Commission of Canada, is organizing a two-day workshop on Narrative Journalism and Human-Interest Storytelling on February 9 and 10, 2026, at the Club premises.

The “News in Tales” – Storytelling workshop for journalists is designed to equip young, mid-level, and senior journalists with practical skills in the art of storytelling. It will help participants reimagine reportage by placing people and lived experiences at the heart of news narratives.

This initiative aims to strengthen journalistic capacity in the region and build a community of storytellers committed to impactful, ethical, and empathetic reporting.

There is no registration fee for the workshop. Participants who successfully complete the programme will be awarded a certificate of participation.  Last date to apply: January 18, 2026.
