PUNJAB BJP SUBMIT MEMORENDUM ON WORSED LAW AND ORDER SITUATION AND TARGETTING JOURNALISTS

Face2News/Chandigarh

Punjab BJP submitted memorandum to Governor Sh. Gulab Chand Kataria, saying Punjab's law and order is in a bad shape, and people are worried about their safety. Instead of addressing this, the Aam Aadmi Party government is suppressing media freedom to prevent it from reporting the alarming law & order situation prevailing in the state. They're targeting journalists and media houses, including Punjab Kesari Group, which has a history of fearless journalism.

Punjab Kesari stood strong during terrorism and always spoke the truth, even when it cost them lives of its founder late Sh. Jagat Narrian ji and Sh. Ramesh ji. Now, the government is misusing its power to silence them. Police cases and raids are being used to intimidate editors and prevent them from reporting.

The media is the voice of the people, and suppressing it is a threat to democracy. The CM's actions are undemocratic and violate democratic values. Meanwhile, gangsters are roaming free, and crime is rising.

We urge you to direct the CM to stop this repression and let the media work freely. Also, please take steps to restore law and order in Punjab.

Memorandum signotry were  Sh. Sunil Jakhar, President state BJP, Spokesman Dr. Subhash Sharma, Vineet Joshi State Media Head and others BJP Leaders.
