ON INTERCEPTION ACCUSED OPENED FIRE AT POLICE TEAM, GOT INJURED IN RETALIATORY FIRING
4 HIGH END SEMI AUTOMATIC PISTOLS WITH 11 LIVE CARTRIDGES RECOVERED

A team of ARSC, Crime Branch, led by Insp. Man Singh, Insp. Arvind Singh, Insp. Sunder Gautam, has arrested three desperate sharp shooters of Wasim Hasmat gang namely (1) Rehman S/o Abdul Sattar R/o Seelampur, Delhi, Age- 23 Years (2) Adil S/o Alim R/o Shastri Park, Delhi, Age-23 yrs and (3) Md. Ayan S/o Hashim Raja R/o Braham Puri, Delhi, Age-19 Years.
The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has solved sensational murder case of Sameer @ Kammu Pehalwan with the arrest of 3 sharp shooters of Wasim Hasmat gang.
On 26.01.2025, ARSC Crime Branch received credible intelligence regarding 3 wanted criminals namely (Rehman, Adil, Ayan) who have been associated with slain gangster Wasim Hasmat and wanted in a sensational murder case of PS Shastri Park, Delhi. The information was further developed and verified and it was revealed that in the night of 24.01.2026, four armed assailants had opened fire and killed one person namely Sameer @ Kammu Pehalwan in the area of PS Shastri Park, Delhi. A case vide FIR No. 46/26, dt. 25.01.2026, u/s 103(1)/3(5) BNS r/w 25/27 Arms Act was registered in this regard at PS Shastri Park, Delhi.
Accordingly, a team comprising Insp. Man Singh, Insp. Sunder Gautam, SI Manish, SI Vijender Diwach, SI Bharat, SI Sudhir, SI Virender, ASI Ajay, ASI Amit, ASI Vikas, HC Gaurav, HC Rohit, HC Ramjas, HC Sanjeev Yadav, HC Jitender, HC Vipin, Ct. Robin was constituted to take necessary legal action in this regard.
(SUBHEAD)Thereafter, on the instance of informer, a trap was laid near Ajmal Khan Park, Sector- 28, Rohini, Delhi. At about 11:40 PM a white colour scooty was intercepted and signalled to stop. On seeing surrounded by Police party 3 accused persons who came on the above said scooty opened fire targeting the Police party. Then SI Virender, HC Rohit, HC Ramjas and Ct. Robin fired in self-defence targeting legs of the accused persons. Even after getting hit in their legs, accused person tried to flee from the spot but were swifty overpowered by the raiding party. Thereafter, all 3 accused persons were identified as: –
(1) Rehman S/o Abdul Sattar R/o Seelampur, Delhi, Age- 23 Years (2) Adil S/o Alim R/o Shastri Park, Delhi, Age-23 yrs and (3) Md. Ayan S/o Hashim Raja R/o Braham Puri, Delhi, Age-19 Years. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 17/2026, dt. 28.01.2026, u/s 221/132/345(3)/109(1) BNS r/w 25/27/54/59 Arms Acts was registered at PS Crime Branch, Delhi and all 3 accused persons were arrested.
Scooty recovered from accused persons was also found stolen vide e-FIR No. 027879/26, PS Bindapur, Dwarka, Delhi. The same is also seized in this case.
Mr.Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, IPS, Dy. Commissioner of Police, said, Crime Branch, saud ub the intervening night of 30-31 December, 2025, Wasim was brutally murdered in the area of Shastri Park, North East, Delhi. It was linked to a gang war involving infamous and notorious criminals Lawrence Bishnoi and Hashim Baba gangs. The victim Wasim r/o Buland Masjid area, was stabbed to death behind a DDA park in Shastri Park.
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility, alleging Wasim was killed for raising voice against gangster Hashim Baba. Wasim was a known criminal figure previously involved in gang disputes and had survived multiple murder attempts.
In the year 2024, a shootout at GTB Hospital occurred where Hashim Baba gang members attempted to kill him, but accidentally shot another patient, namely Riyazuddin. After brutal murder of Wasim his gang members vowed to take revenge of his killing. They have apprehension that Sameer @ Kammu Pehalwan who is associated with Hasim Baba gang was planner/executer of the said murder case. Therefore, in the night of 24.01.26, four armed assailants opened fire at Sameer @ Kammu Pehalwan and killed him.
